MOI KRISTIINA, TERE - HI KRISTIINA, HELLO

 

Tuli kaunis kortti Saksasta Franzilta. Hän kirjoittaa että on ollut viikon kuvan esittämässä paikassa. Ihanan kesäiseltä näyttävät merimaisemat. Franzin kotiseudulla ei ole merta lähellä ja hän haluaakin matkustaa uudestaan pohjoisemmaksi missä merta on.

Hän on kortin lähettämispäivänä menossa pakohuoneeseen ja toivoo löytävänsä sieltä vielä uloskin. Onnea yritykseen Franzi ja kiitos kauniin kortin lisäksi hienoista postimerkeistä!

A beautiful card came from Franz from Germany. He writes that he has been in the place shown in the picture for a week. The seascapes look wonderfully summery. Franz's home area is not close to the sea and he wants to travel further north again where there is sea. He is going to an escape room on the day the card was sent and hopes to find a way out of it. Good luck with your venture Franzi and thank you for the beautiful card and also for the great stamps!

Kaisa Eestistä aloittaa korttinsa näin: "Moi Kristiina! Tere!" Hän lähetti tämän kortin, jossa on kuva Muhun saarella olevasta museosta. Hän kirjoittaa ettei ole Ahvenanmaalla käynyt, mutta on useasti matkallaan Tukholmaan, nähnyt Maarianhaminan sataman yöllä. Kaisa oli laittanut korttiin hienot kansallispuku-postimerkit, jotka näkyvät kortin vasemmassa reunassa. 

Kaisa from Estonia begins her card like this: "Hi Kristiina! Hello!" She sent this card, which has a picture of the museum on the island of Muhu. She writes that she has not been to Åland, but has often seen the harbor of Mariehamn at night on her trips to Stockholm. Kaisa had included some nice national costume stamps on the card, which can be seen on the left side of the card.

Tällä kertaa ovat lähettäjät laittaneet erityisen hienoja postimerkkejä ja tarroja kortteihin, eikä tämä Perrin USA.sta lähettämä kortti tehnyt poikkeusta. Perri kertoo että he ovat lähdössä Mexico Cityyn. Se on hänen ensimmäinen matkansa sinne ja hän odottaa erityisesti herkullisia ruokailuelämyksiä.

This time the senders have put some really nice stamps and stickers on the cards, and this card from Perri from the USA was no exception. Perri says they are going to Mexico City. It is her first trip there and she is especially looking forward to some delicious dining experiences.

Gabriele sent this great postcard from Italy. He has been to the volcanic island of Stromboli and other volcanic islands, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. He says he wants to go there again and it is quite easy for him because he lives nearby.

Wendy Kanadasta lähetti tämän kukkakortin, josta minulle tulee mieleen Marimekon Unikko-kukkakortit. Wendy asuu Torontossa. Kunpa voisi laittaa aina myös kortin kääntöpuolenkin tänne, sillä niin kauniisti monet ovat korttinsa koristelleet, niin myös Wendy.

Wendy from Canada sent me this flower card, which reminds me of Marimekko's Unikko flower cards. Wendy lives in Toronto. I wish I could always put the back of the card here, because so many have decorated their cards so beautifully, and so does Wendy.

Yksi toiveaiheistani korteissa on junat ja sen onkin hienosti huomioinut Martin Saksasta. Kortin kääntöpuolella on jopa junapostimerkit ja pari juna-aiheista leimaa.

Hauskana yksityiskohtana on kortissa allekirjoituksena erityisen hieno leima, jolla Martin allekirjoittaa kortteja. Leimassa on kortin osoitepuolen kuva, Martinin postcrossing-nimimerkki sekä toivotus "Happy postcrossing".

One of my favorite themes for cards is trains, and Martin from Germany has taken that into account nicely. The back of the card even has train stamps and a couple of train-themed stamps. A fun detail is the signature on the card, which is a particularly nice stamp that Martin uses to sign his cards. The stamp has a picture of the address side of the card, Martin's postcrossing nickname, and the wish "Happy postcrossing".

Viimeinen kortti on Saksasta Hampurista, jossa Pauline asuu.  Kortin kuva on pienestä Quedlinburgin kaupungista joka myös kuuluu Unescon maailmanperintökohteisiin. Kaupunki sijaitsee Bodejoen varrella ja siellä on n. 24.000 asukasta.

Quedlinburgin kaupunki on vanha ja niin on tämä talokin jossa ovet ja ikkunat ovat hiukan vinksin vonksin.

The last card is from Hamburg, Germany, where Pauline lives. The picture on the card is of the small town of Quedlinburg, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is located on the Bodejoe and has a population of about 24,000. The town of Quedlinburg is old, and so is this house, where the doors and windows are a bit wonky.
