Hannele sent me this wonderful Halloween card. The Halloween rally was held, no more and no less than at Turku Castle. It seems that there was a really spooky atmosphere in the castle.

Tanja lähetti tämän kesäistä tunnelmaa hohkaavan viiliaiheisen kortin. Tanja kertoo miten hänen lapsuudessaan kotona tehtiin itse viiliä ja päälle siroteltiin sokeria ja talkkunajauhoja ja hyvää oli. Tänä päivänä hän ei tykkää viilistä ollenkaan. Minä taas muistan nuo ruskeat kerma/maitopullot!

Tanja sent this summery card. Tanja tells how in her childhood she used to make "viili" at home and sprinkle sugar and talcum powder on top and it was delicious. Today she doesn't like "viili" at all. I remember those brown cream/milk bottles!

Ylimpänä oleva kortti tulee Japanista, Kobesta ja sen on lähettänyt Ayaka, joka työskentelee apteekissa. Ayaka aloitti kirjeensä kirjoittamalla ensin Hello! ja sitten luultavasti sama japanilaisilla kirjaimilla.

The card above comes from Kobe, Japan and was sent by Ayaka, who works at a pharmacy. Ayaka started her letter by writing Hello! and then probably the same in Japanese characters. The caption of the card has a saying: "Fabulous is health, happiness, home and cake". I can agree with that too :)
