Postilaatikoita-Mailboxes

Tänään posti toi kaksi korttia ja niissä molemmissa oli aiheena postilaatikko. Ensimmäinen kortti tuli Kiinasta ja siinä on hauskasti kuvattu eri maiden postilaatikkoja. 

Kortin lähetti Cheng joka asuu Beijingissä, jota Cheng kuvailee hyvin kauniiksi kaupungiksi. Cheng on matkustanut paljon, paitsi Aasiassa niin myös monessa Euroopan maassa.

Today the post office brought two cards and both of them had a mailbox theme. The first card came from China and it has a funny picture of mailboxes from different countries. The card was sent by Cheng who lives in Beijing, which Cheng describes as a very beautiful city. Cheng has traveled a lot, not only in Asia but also in many European countries.

Tämä kortti yllätti minut täysin. Katsoin ensin tuon tekstin tuossa alakulmassa ja luin: Sarajevo. Tämäpä sattui, tyttäreni oli juuri siellä miehensä kanssa lomalla ja nyt minä sain samasta paikasta kortin. Kun käänsin kortin ja luin kirjoituksen, niin korttihan olikin juuri heiltä. Kehuivat Sarajevoa kovasti ja kissaihmisinä olivat kiinnittäneet huomionsa siihen että siellä on paljon kissoja.

This card completely surprised me. I first looked at the text in the bottom corner and read: Sarajevo. This happened, my daughter was there on vacation with her husband and now I received a card from the same place. When I turned the card over and read the writing, the card was from them. They praised Sarajevo a lot and as cat people they had noticed that there were a lot of cats there.

Toinen WPD-kortti (World Postcard Day) tuli Leenalta. Suomen tämänvuotisten WPD-korttien aihe oli siis sauna, mikä meille hyvin sopiikin. 

The second WPD (World Postcard Day) card came from Leena. The theme of Finland's WPD cards this year was sauna, which suits us very well.

On tämä postcrossing vaan yhäkin tosi kiva harrastus. Kortteja tulee eri puolilta maailmaa ja vastaavasti itse saa lähettää samalla mitalla. Koskaan ei voi etukäteen tietää mistä päin maailmaa kortti tulee. Ja kun tulee jostain sellaisesta maasta josta ei ole aiemmin korttia saanut, niin se vasta mukavalta tuntuukin. Tähän mennessä kortteja on tullut 43:sta maasta.

Tuo ylin kortti tuli USA:sta Floridasta. Lähettäjä on salaperäinen ja allekirjoitti vain nimimerkillä -tc-, eikä hänen profiilistaankaan käynyt ilmi oikeaa nimeä. Joka tapauksessa hänen mielipuuhaansa on simpukoiden keräily eri paikoista joissa hän matkustelee.

This postcrossing is still a really nice hobby. Cards come from all over the world and you can send them at the same rate. You can never know in advance where in the world the card will come from. And when it comes from a country where you haven't received a card before, it feels even nicer. So far, cards have come from 43 countries. The top card came from Florida, USA. The sender is mysterious and only signed with the pseudonym -tc-, and his profile doesn't reveal his real name. In any case, his hobby is collecting seashells from different places he travels to.

Sitten vähän isompi kortti pläjäys! Nämä sauna-aiheiset kortit tulevat eri puolilta Suomea. WPD-päivän (Maailman postikorttipäivä 1.10)  aiheena oli Suomessa sauna. Kolmisenkymmentä eri paikkakuntaa oli tehnyt oman sauna-aiheisen kortin ja tässä kuva niistä jotka olen itse tähän mennessä saanut. Muutama on vielä tulematta.

Postcrossingyhdistyksen jäsenet saivat äänestää mielestään kauneinta korttia ja kuinka ollakaan, voittajaksi äänestettiin tämä allaoleva, eli Maarianhaminan kortti. Hyvä me!

Then a little bigger card blast! These sauna-themed cards come from all over Finland. The theme of WPD Day (World Postcard Day 1.10) was sauna in Finland. About thirty different places had made their own sauna-themed cards and here is a picture of the ones I have received so far. A few more are yet to come. The members of the Postcrossing Association were allowed to vote for the most beautiful card in their opinion and, as expected, the one below, the Mariehamn card, was voted the winner. Well done!

Nyt on kyllä niin, että sain varmaan kauneimmat kortit ikinä! Ihan jokainen tässä postauksessa esittelemäni kortti on tosi kaunis.

Ensimmäisen kortin lähetti Sandra joka asuu miehensä kanssa Pohjois-Saksassa. Heillä on aikuinen poika joka opiskelee muualla. Sandra on kiinnostunut arkeologiasta ja tykkää myös puutarhanhoidosta ja kuuntelee mielellään musiikkia.

Kortti oli matkalla 15 päivää ja kulki 1008 km:n matkan.

Now it's true that I probably received the most beautiful cards ever! Every card I've presented in this post is really beautiful. The first card was sent by Sandra who lives with her husband in Northern Germany. They have an adult son who is studying elsewhere. Sandra is interested in archaeology and also likes gardening and listening to music. The card was on the road for 15 days and covered a distance of 1008 km.

Japanilaisilla on taito kirjoittaa kauniisti ja koristella muutenkin lähettämänsä kortit hienosti. Chihara jonka kortin näytän alempana tässä postauksessa on liimannut muumipostimerkin korttiinsa, koska tietää että tykkään muumeista. Käsiala on kaunista ja helposti luettavaa ja japanilainen kirjoitus hienoa. Hän on myös laittanut tietoa sikäläisestä säästä, mikä on aina mielenkiintoista tietää.

The Japanese have a knack for writing beautifully and decorating the cards they send in a nice way. Chihara, whose card I show below in this post, has glued a Moomin stamp to her card because she knows I like Moomin. The handwriting is beautiful and easy to read and the Japanese writing is great. She has also included information about the weather there, which is always interesting to know.

Ja entäs tämä sitten! Melanie joka asuu Saksassa, on lukenut profiilistani että tykkään kasvihuoneaiheisista korteista. Hän on tämän kauniin kortin itse maalannut vesiväreillä ihan minua varten! Osaisinpa itsekin tehdä jotain samanlaista. Mutta Melanie onkin taiteilija, joten ei ihme että jotain näin kaunista häneltä syntyy.

And what about this! Melanie, who lives in Germany, has read on my profile that I like greenhouse-themed cards. She painted this beautiful card herself with watercolors just for me! I wish I could do something similar myself. But Melanie is an artist, so it's no wonder she creates something so beautiful.
